I think I'm overthinking this. I think I'll follow the instructions for Secure Boot for the Linux Surface project and see how that goes.

About three days ago, I was reading federal government online sources about online job scams.

eBay is sometimes tedious to deal with. I use the site to buy electronic parts for repair, but some aspects of the site are annoying to deal with.

There probably hasn't been much concrete and confirmed info about the upcoming Virgo laptop from System76. There's some more, but I wanted to get into the basics, and then I can follow up later, as this will be out of date anyways once Virgo is officially released.

Recently I had to create new GitHub accounts, and the process is not great for privacy and security, because Microsoft automatically disables/flags any new account created in July 2024 or later.

I made a résumé in LaTeX when I needed to apply for a job about 2 years ago, and it was not great. While it served its purpose, I wasn't happy with it when it came to long-term code upkeep. (I can't remember the source of the template for my first “real” résumé.) The template I chose at the time had weird quirks, and I told myself I'd tried to get a simpler template the next time I needed to make a CV/résumé.

Well, I got my head start on a maintainable résumé now. Better start now, while I have the time to properly component test everything.

Ever since Jitsi required signing into an account (from Google, Microsoft, or GitHub) in August 2023, things haven't been the same.

I have to use Slack for part of my volunteering life. I have at least figured out a way to live with Slack on desktop with Ferdium.
